Who we are

Steve Hendrickson, PE – Managing Partner
Steve has led engineering and evaluation teams across the energy value chain for more than four decades. His career began at Shell Oil in the Permian Basin, where he focused on waterflood and CO₂ flood projects. After 16 years at Shell, Steve held senior technical and executive roles at several upstream companies before founding a licensed engineering practice dedicated to reserves assessment and property valuation.

Steve is a former board member of the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers (SPEE), co-author of Monograph 5: A Practical Guide to Type Well Profiles, past chair of SPEE’s Parameters Committee and currently a member of the Monograph 6 Committee addressing fair market valuation of oil and gas assets. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and an M.S. in Finance from the University of Houston. He’s a licensed professional engineer in Texas and Pennsylvania and an Associate Member of the International Institute of Minerals Appraisal.

John Beaird, PE – Partner
John brings 42 years of technical expertise in reservoir engineering and petroleum economics. He began his career with Anadarko Petroleum in the Permian Basin and later co-founded a private equity–backed E&P company. John went on to serve as Vice President of Ralph E. Davis Associates, where he led technical teams supporting acquisition evaluations across every major U.S. onshore basin.

He holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana Tech University, is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers and is a licensed professional engineer in Texas.
